Fist thing first, a load of laundry, then hop on the bike and go and see what Trader Joe's has to offer before I go to the Berkeley bowl 3 blocks form my house.
At Berkeley Bowl I buy these "Homemade" Tamales, this time with Mashroom, Spinach, and Salsa, they are so good, just microwave them for a minute and a half, pour a little salsa on it and bingo, another square meal on my table, the beer is rounding it a bit and I'm happy. Now I can handle more laundry, and other chores.
Thursday july 2nd...I'm ready to go again!!!
First thing this morning is me panicking, am I registered for the Yoga Retreat with Chris, I have not gotten any e-mails or info about the logistics, I know it;s at the OZ Farm in Mendocino. I leave a message on Chris's cell phone of corse nobody answers their phone when you really need an info right away. I call Nancy who I'm hoping is coming, also just the answering-machine, then I call Barbara, a yoga-student for ever and we've been together to the camp, and she does answer her phone. But... she is not coming this year and so she does not know the deal either, but she tells me just to go... Finally after some time Chris calls me back and confirms my presents at this years camp. Ahh I feel much better and a good thing s too that I continued to get myself ready to go. One more quick stop at the Berkeley Bowl to buy Wine and Beer for the next few days, yes, I know, you're asking me what kind of Yoga-retreat is that that you bring alcohol there??? Well, first of all it is not a detox center and second we all like to drink something with our food specially with the appetizers, third, what fun is it to be there without a little buzz???
I fill the tank with gas the engine with oil and my cup with coffee and off I go. North on I-580, across the Richmond Bridge to 101 North, and here is where it gets sticky... the traffic turns into a crawl and many times it feels more like a parking-lot. Kind of like hell, don't you think so???
Driving, while standing still, going North on Hwy-101 slowly but not so steady...
But whenever this hell is over... Heaven is waiting for me!!!
