Elmer's is it...

It's up and go here at the Rancho del Cutler, boy that nap felt too good, if there is such a thing, there is nothing better than a good nap! It is still raining and that gives it a special good feeling of feeling guilt-free. Sarah and I get into action, off we go in her car to Ashfield, the plan is to pick a couple of movies to watch tonight and pick-up, with that we need more beers and deal with some Post-office issues.
What a sad looking day, cold and rainy, sometimes just so slightly sometimes a bit harder, but it's been raining all day. Back at home, I did promise to make dinner for us all, I started to prep for this meal, getting all the goods together, most important ingredient is the leftover burgers from yesterday, and the hardest decision is to pick the kind of pasta. There is a whole bad of different forms and shapes to choose from. I decide on the inch and a half long tubes 1/4 inch diameter, what ever the name is I forgot.
We enjoyed another great feast, just the three of us, with some wine and more beer, fine music by Mellow Sounds, and carefully observed by Malone, the dog!!!
The movie is, as recommended years ago to me by Christoph, K-PAX . That's when Kevin Spacey appears out of nowhere at Grand Central Station in New York, gets picked-up by the police and put into a mental hospital trying to convince everybody that he is from K-PAX, we got a few good laughs out of it and are still wondering what really happened with his body after he went back... Apropos going back, I think  spend some more time on the computer and the satellite WiFi and go back to reality to catch-up on this blog here...

Once more I wake-up on this porch, it is still raining, and somehow it still feels soothing. I had to turn the bed around because the water started to run along the boards and the fog is so heavy that everything is very damp, that makes it even harder to get out of bed, where it is warm and toasty. Also Abbot left very early in the morning to go to Greenfield to get his car worked on. I did not even hear him take off. By the time I rummaging around in the kitchen to make me some muessly to have for breakfast Sarah leaves too. She has to go Boston with her Art-Coop co-artist to take-down a show at the State House. I remember when I was here in January she was talking about getting ready to do this show, it sounded really promising, having your photos hung at the Massachusetts State House, now that what I call being famous.
Now I'm all by myself, might as well continue with editing pictures, writing words for e-mails and blogs and entertain Malone, who seams to be endless chasing squirrels in his dreams.

Malone chasing Squirrels in dreams and Chipmunks when awake...
Twitching paws are indicating a chase is going on...

Rain and cold keep me more inside than out...

The view out of the window is good enough, no need to get exposed to these kind of elements!!!

Abbot gets back while I'm still munching away on my breakfast, while typing and mousing around with the computer, what a life I lead. He convinced me that it would be a good thing to come outside into the rain with him, and stack firewood that got delivered some time ago. It took him lots of sweet-talking to get me to do that with him, yeah right! Out we go at a time the rain was just a fine drizzle and stack firewood for the next winter. I get to learn the tricks and the trade in stacking of firewood, again make sure that he does not expect me to stack like they do in Switzerland, perfectly straight, very efficient, and without any gaps.

My next mission is to return the movies and find a wireless place with an unlimited baud-rate so I can up-load the photos I prepared. Driving to Ashfield, dropping of the DVD and then sit at Elmer's once more to look like I'm important...

Elmer's the place to be when the baud-rate matters and the coffee is good...

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
