Driving further North...

Abbot and me, the plan is to meet Sarah at the Ollie's Downunder  Bar in downtown of Shelburne Falls for a drink and maybe a bit to eat. We ended up in downtown a bit too early and went for a short walk around the center of Shelburne Falls, we could not cross the Bridge of Flowers because we had Malone with us and dogs are not allowed on the bridge. The weather is still misty, almost rain and kind of cold, thats what it feels to me after getting the feel for the heat in Louisiana. Well then, lets head down into Ollie's Downunder and order a drink. Not much later Sarah joins us, we order a couple of appetizers. Some kind of grilled Scrimp dish with a very good sauce, a plate of Sweet Potato fries and instantly the drinks were much better. The place is busy, more guest crawled down from the street and with that the noise level went up. We decided to order more food and make dinner out of it, all was very good and we got back home just to watch the other movie we had picked the other night. Tonight's show is "What Just Happen ", a thriller by following the main-figure, Robert Di Niro, a failing Hollywood producer, who has to bullshit everybody, including himself, that everything is "fine". Kind of like the ticked stub in front of his mouth, that says "ADMIT NOTHING". We get a few good laughs out of the movie but also exhausted ourself by imagining that it really could be that way in Hollywood...
Sitting at the kitchen table after all went to bed, I suddenly feel the sniffles and a sore throat building up in my body... quickly reaching for a load of vitamin C and then to bed to get rested.
In the morning my health deteriorated by a wee bit, more Cs, gurgle with saltwater and hope for the best. I don't wanna get sick, not now... Not when a week like this is in front of me!!!
I have to get serious now, no getting sick, and pack-up all my stuff back into my car, it's time to hit the road again. Abbot too has to pack, for this coming week, for him it means figuring out possible weather scenarios, what poems to read and how much empty paper to take along to fill with word of wisdom.
Sarah, is sorting out prints and more prints to make up another show, or town-hall meeting, she does have it the roughest...

Our last group photo...

Looking back one more time before leaving the beauty behind...

At quarter past noon I have my stuff back in the car, my cup filled with hot tea, maps are out, and the route prepared for the next leg. After a big goodbye to Sarah, and a quick, bye bye see ya later, to Abbot I'm off. 9 miles to get to Shelburne Falls and shortly after that on RT-2 East straight toward Boston. But not quite that far, I have to get to I-495 going North but ending up going South because I was too close behind a big truck and saw too late that I'm on the wrong exit-ramp, dang!!!
A few miles later is an exit and I mange to get to drive into the right direction, I-495 North. Interstate 495 is a belt that surrounds Boston in a half circle and ties into I-95 almost at the New Hampshire state-line.
It has not rained since early this morning, but there are still lots of fat clouds floating around. I feel like I wanna a Subway Sandwich for lunch, and find one in a small town. I feel much better after some food in my system, back on the road and the clock strikes 3...

3 o'clock while driving North on I-495, a bit sad about leaving nature, a bit bothered by the sniffle and a sore throat...
...but really excited on where I'm going next!!!

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
