International Music Fest here in Lafayette
More Music, more friends, more food, not enough coffee to keep me awake. Since I'm up since 5 this morning I'm pretty beat, but it is too much fun. I did find a cup of coffee from the Community Coffee stand, sad is that there was no fresh milk, instead they had the powdered stuff, ohh well it's better than nothing. I was talking with Bonnie Wells earlier today, she's back in Minneapolis after a trekking-vacation in the Himalayas. Can't wait to hear all the details of that trip, but she was telling me that her friends Laura and Tim from Minneapolis are here in Lafayette too, I met them on my Boundary Water trip in January, and promptly as I was looking around at the Popeyes Stage during the Rupa & April Fishes, who do I sight in the crowd??? Laura & Tim from Minneapolis, too funny to see them here, in summer-clothing.
Tim & Laura from Minneapolis, the famous "Colorado Girls" Janice & Karen with Wendy...

Meeting the locals, Reggie from Baton Rouge together with Ginger's sister from Breaux Bridge, Lonnie from Iowa, and as always Moto from New Orleans...

More locals that I met on last weeks Bike-ride, Becky and John Williams the local Outfitters for your next adventure into the Bayouland...

It's around 8 in the evening, Moto and I look at each other with tired eyes, I think it's time to hit the road and head back to New Orleans, a 2 hour drive. I still have some hot Chai Tea left from this morning that I keep in thermos, I think that will keep me awake at the wheel.
It's fun going places with Moto, great talks, lots of laughs, and a little fart competition, or at least fart-stories, you know just for kicks.
Back at Karen's we get to hear how her day was, we're feeling kind of bad that she could not join us for this wonderful day we had. Her thing was to spread the ashes of a coworker that passed away over a year ago. So she had to meet the family who came down from St. Louis, MO had coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde then spreading the ashes at the City Park followed by lunch in one of her coworkers favorite restaurant. Does not sound as entertaining as our day but still, Karen had a good time.
I have to go to bed... I'm more dead than alive...
It's Sunday morning, what should I do, go to Jazz Fest again??? naa... should I bike around??? Na... SHould I write more, edit pictures and busy myself on the computer again??? Yeahh...
I tell you, this is way too much work. After having some freshly brewed Chai Tea, a bowl of Müssley it's time to hit the keyboard again... and next thing it's 3 o'clock again!!!
How is it possible... time flies, if you're having fun or not...
