First I have to figure out what I should make for dinner, yesterday on the way home from Lafayette I was telling Moto about a swiss dish I should make as long as I'm here. Now there is a noble idea. Lets make a Onion-Cheese-Quiche with some salad. I'm making a list and soon come to the conclusion that I have to drive to the nearby store because I can't get all this into my pack, on top of it it is getting pretty late. Of I go to Rouses, with a shopping list and still half asleep from the nap that was way too short. I had a hart time finding most of the things, walking back and forth through the aisles looking for some to snack before dinner. Also stuff for breakfast and some of this and some of that, 55 bucks later I'm back at Karen's. Now lets get serious. Frying bacon, peeling onions, selecting spices. KAren is helping me, then Jean Meyer, a long time friend and neighbor of Karen, shows up with some crackers I forgot to buy and the party starts, next is Moto and by that time the quiche goes into the oven, 425°F for about 30 minutes. Unfortunately Sarah and Lee were too tired to join us, too bad for them, but I really wished they would come by, but hey all I can do is invite them.
Dinner with Karen, Moto and Jean...

I think it was a pretty delicious meal, made way too much but I can think of a few things on where to bring it to. The dessert is what is missing and there is nothing to do about... unless... my friends Kevin and Gina are up for it. The last time I talked with them they were on the way to New Orleans. Driving from Baton Rouge after a wedding and other family affairs of Kevin's roots here in Louisiana. We made a plan to meet tonight at their hotel at 11:30, and that is soon. All the guest are gone home, dishes taking care of and now it is time to shower and get to downtown New Orleans.
Meeting Kevin and Gina at the Merriot on the 20th floor. What a view...

Looking towards the River.
Then the view of Kevin and Gina, I have to use a flash to capture Kevin because he moves way to fast for his own good...

We're out and about and end up at the Cafe du Monde for a late night snack of coffee and beignet, just what I wanted...

After that a stroll along the Riverfront, past Jackson Square...

Never a dull minute around the Kevin Guy, I don't know how Gina keeps up with him, but she has the right attitude and is a ball herself, a perfect match made at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley some years ago. But now its time to leave these two to themselves and head home to get some sleep.
In the morning back to the old grindstone... on the computer writing and editing pictures and blogging away so the world knows what trouble I'm in.
3 o'clock again... what the hell!!! I wanted to be out of the house by this time...
