Troubled by strings...

Another "Burning the midnight oil" last night, getting a fat coat of mud on the newly installed L-pieces the finish the sheet-rock right at the wood-frame. I doubt that this stuff will be dry by the time Johnny shows-up in the morning... but it's on now. He still has one more coat of finish to put on the baseboards and cabinets, then he can start preparing the ceiling for painting...
I called Susan to see how she is doing, she is on her way to Los ANgeles in the morning and then for a long weekend in Florida visiting her mom. She sounded like me when I go away, it was past 11pm and she has not packed yet, doing this and having to make that and so on... just lek me!!!
Oh, I forgot that I went to yoga too, all before applying mud to walls... I was so tired that I fall asleep a few times in the second half of the class when we had some restorative poses to get our self into... after the class I was also hungry... ended up frying the day old Afghani food I had and added a couple of eggs to it... just like an omelet, hmmm so good!!!
In the morning I was slow moving... still I was at nine fifteen in front of Tom's house... were the next work adventure is awaiting me... and an adventure it was!!! All we did by the time it was 3 is fiddling with a 3/4" and a 1/2" PVC conduit that run from his crawl-space to the new cottage in the backyard... to sum it up is the easiest, there was already a pull-string in the 3/4" conduit, but only on one side, where is the end of the string??? Then the end that was sticking out of the pipe was stuck in there, I believe because when they glued the pipe together the glue also bonded the string onto the pipe-wall and so... it is stuck. Then fishing in a new line was impossible because it got caught on the string that was in the pipe, so we had to dig to find the pipe and cut into it... and so on...
We break for lunch once we thought we had it under control, Tom warmed-up some spaghetti with meat-sauce and most problems dissolved as the food went down. Of corse the popped right back up once we found out that there are more problems with getting a new pull-string into that pipe... What an ordeal, by the time I went to the supply house to get more materials, the problem was fixed and 3 o'clock has long ago passed... just because of attached strings...

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
