Writing with Cary...

Wednesday afternoons is our "free" time, finally we can do what we wanna do. Some Poets are ready to go to the nearby towns, indulge in civilization, maybe by drinking coffee in a cafe, to see how it feels to "order" something and actually get a "real" cup with a Latte. Or shopping for books in "real" bookstores or just hanging out at the camp. For me it is swimming in Lake Damariscotte, and Camp Kieve is the place. The weather is cooperating much better then when I was visiting Abbot and Sarah a week ago. To make things even better, the lake is warming up just nicely. A few of us are laying around on the dock, some paddle a kayak or canoe, or like me, just being in the water having fun. Specially with a waterproof camera to see if it is really waterproof!

Lake Daramascotta is warming up just nicely...
Sunbathing on the dock, swimming like a queen, paddle in tandem or in single boats!!!

A blue sky, with flocks of clouds that play in the wind high up, while the rest is soaking-up the rays from heaven...
Me and Pierre Boivin, just before having our traditional coffee-break!!!

Pierre Boivin and me started many years ago, by making Turkish-Coffee in the late afternoon, now it is a tradition for us and for our "special" friends.

Turkish-Coffee on the porch of Pierre's Villa...
First Farid Mohammadi, then Trey Moore joining us for the Turkish-Delight!!!

... then Tom Carter and Steve Applegate, and Jennifer Spisla to replace Trey!!!

Like always at this time of the day, dinner at the Pasquaney Lodge, and as always it is a treat for all of us to get good food and the best company.

Dinner at Pasquaney, good food + good friends = a great time...
Alison Granucci with Ofer Ziv and boB Henning, while Jamie Rose and Maya Borhani wonder what  in the hell I'm up to!!!

And now we're all getting ourselves ready for another big night. Tonight we have a band playing, and the dancing will be out of hand. To our surprise the conveners decided to safe 700 bucks and scrap the band they've been hiring, since we have enough talented musicians amongst us a band got created and THEY ROCKED!!!

Going over to the Innisfree, a almost full moon is lighting the way...

The dancing was wild...
Me dancing with: Tracy, Lock, Jamie, Sharon, Jennifer, Dough, Tina, Renate, Stevie and Sarah!!!

Here is a link to the on-line photo-album: Wednesday Night Dance

I joined in with the band too and had my first public appearance with my scrub-board, it was a hit and I had a blast. Of corse now I have to find out if anyone took a picture of me on stage with the Bad Boys of the Good Mother's, I caught Jean D'Amico playing it, she used to play it and wanted to see if she still has the "touch". And she did!!!
The night was long and the guys never stopped playing, I don't remember at what time I hit the hay!

But I manage to get up early enough for the singing in the Climbing Gym...

A thing that is not to be missed!!! 3 hugs and you're out of here...

Breakfast and todays program, or something like this...

New voices, Caroline Casey and then some real serious matter with James Hillman and a not so serious one by Coleman Barks. Then I decided not to be part of the storytelling by Gioia and worked on this blog instead... I'm a bit overloaded with myth and beauty!!!

Instead I got to witness to construction of the most serious sandwiches outside of Subway Sandwiches. 5 full 5 food long sandwiches were made right here as I'm working here in the dinning-hall.

25 feet of sandwich gets made and served...
Not do they look good... they are delicious too!!!

3 o'clock and I'm working at the computer with fun company...
Cary Odes is hanging in there with me, making fun and adding sense!!!

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
