After 350 miles of driving to day I check into a Super 8 Motel in Morehead, KY. It's just a few minutes after 4 but I'm tired, wish I could nap and relax, but instead I work on the computer, get the pictures out of the camera, sort them out, fix em on Photoshop, export then into another folder, and finally upload 'em onto the Picasa on-line photo-album there I have to get them labeled and map them, finally writing some of the blog and use the links of the photo-album to create this blog the way it looks. I eat some stuff I have with me, finish the head-cheese, have another Abita Red Ale and snack on chips with some salsa, time flies and next thing it way late and I need to sleep some in order to stay awake at the wheel tomorrow. In the morning some more answering of e-mails, dealing with Facebook and off I go. I ate some of the breakfast included in the motel, I think I through most of it away, I had some biscuits with gravy and I added a hard-boiled egg with that, even the hot sauce did not make it eatable.
On the road again, It's just past 10 o'clock, sunny and no clouds, 62°F, I take Interstate 64 to continue going East. In Grayson I stop for gas, oil, hot water and w few phone calls to see how things are back at the ranch in Berkeley.
At 12:30 I cross the Big Sandy River into the Wild and Wonderful State of West Virginia, we'll see what that state has in store for me.
After the first town I get off the Interstate and travel east on Rt-60, miles later I notice that campground on the left and I realize that I stayed there last year, I've already traveled this route, lets sit down and study this map a bit closer to find a way I have not gone through here. Last year I came from Lexington, KY on I-64 and left the interstate in Huntington, WV, just as I did today, but last year it was getting dark and I was looking for a place to spend the night. In the morning I hit the Interstate in Milton and then travelled on Rt-60 from Charleston to to Exit 156 on I-64. Lets do something different today. I stay on Rt-60 past Milton and get all the way into Charleston that way, then hit Interstate 79 North, after 48 miles is a Rest-stop, I pull over, its time for a bathroom, and some snacking... maybe even some lunch... after all it is once again 3 pm in the world of R!
Taking a breather at a Rest-stop off I-79 in West Vergina...
