Getting ready to go, Moto's green Element buzzing across the Causeway, Karen and I race Moto and Lindy.
Driving across Lake Pontchartrain is like driving across a small ocean. The causeway is a 26 mile long bridge straight from Metairie to Mandeville. You can't even see the shore on the other side until you about half way across, it is a very impressive site to drive across it. On the other side is where the traffic gets kind of sticky, lots of stop and go until the turn-off to Abita Springs onto LA-36. Here in Abita Springs we park, reassemble our bikes, do our business in a air-conditioned bathroom and hit the Tammany Trace.
Abita Springs is our trail-head, lets get going here...

Once we're on the trail we go north to Covington until we loose the trail and have to turn around because it does not continue. Back through Abita Springs again, Lindy and I go as far as
the Fontainbleau St. in the Fontainebleau State Park not sure how many miles that is but enough to turn around and redeem our prize at the Abita Brew Pub.
Biking the Tammany Trace with Karen, Moto, and Lindy...

Completing the adventure with a great Brew and Burgers... one more time!!!

Like all good things come to an end so those this, but not until we're all back at Karen's and indulge ourselves with leftover Tiramisu... then it is "Good night you all"
This mornig went by as fast as any other morning here At Karen's, I did not have to make any Chai Tea because there was plenty left over from yesterday, breakfast happen between uploading and editing pictures and Karen left and came back from work already while I'm still fouling around here try to catch-up with blogging. Three o'clock went by without taking a picture, because I was busy taking a tour of the Dream World by snoozing away in my room...
