Watched some more TED clips from the internet, this time on the guy who is the owner of the company if special effects and he talks about the challenge and figuring out how to make Brad Pitt look older for the Benjamin Button movie, see for yourself how much work went into that.
Also did some calculations for that potential new job I might get to do, boy does this equipment take a lot of juice, I mean A LOT. I have to meet with the owner in the morning to see where he's at, in sense of how much money he has to spend to get this new machine running... right now I guess-estimate 25 to 30 thousand dollar... boy I could make some real money here. Just a transformer that changes 480V to 208V with a capacity of 150kVA is over 10 grand, my cost... than the amount of copper to get that power way back in his shop...
In the morning though, the first thing was to take care of Johnny, another run to Kelly Moore paint, the colors for the downstairs are grayish, will see how it looks. I also bought some paint for the bathroom upstairs... it really could use some sprucing-up, how about yellow walls and a black ceiling??? O.K. maybe a white ceiling then, but I've been toying around with the idea of a black ceiling...
Johnny preps for painting the walls...

Boy what a day it is out there... rainy and a really gray sky, maybe because I wanna paint my room in that color, the weather tells me not to, but I'm hard in hearing and so I ignore that message from above and buy the stuff anyway!!!
Driving South on I-880...

The potential new job...

Then heading to San Leandro, to meet with Jim, the Owner of Diamond Manufacturing to talk about some issues to power up that new toy. On Saturday I was meeting with his forman Gary, to get an idea about the scope of the project, then all the time I spend yesterday with sizing, transformer and feeder wires went to dust once I talked with Jim, first of all the building is feed with 3 phase 240V, instead of the 480V and who knows what the service size is, with the new load on it it needs to be at least 600 Amperes, nice would be 800. So, Jim is then talking about a possible upgrade of the service... whoa, an even bigger job now. He is well aware of the power that is required even though when he bought the 1.5 million dollar equipment nobody mentioned it to him. I did some investigation of the situation and then I had to head back to Piedmont to help Tom with his wiring project. On the way there I stopped to get coffee and you know what... I should have getting some lunch instead but no, straight to Tom and to getting into it... even 3 o'clock went by without me even noticing it... I have to remember to set the alarm again for that event....
