But before that I actually was at a new project in the hills of Piedmont, meet the client so he can show me where the key is hidden and I can then come and go as I please... PARTY TIME!!! Just kidding, I had to meet Armando at nine in Montclair so I can show him what to do and confirm our plan on starting this Thursday. Armando is the plaster-guy who will fix and patch all the holes I make in the ceiling to install nine 4 inch recessed lights and it is not going to happen on Thursday. How about Monday then??? I'll get that confirmed with the client...
Back at home I had to make my Chai Tea, because I headed out of the house way too early to make it then, and also took some pictures to add to the food blog I have. (click on the link of the Chai Tea to see that blog or) I then started to do some billing for previous jobs I have done but kept getting interrupted by who knows what, well I know, this thing called internet-ing and snack-ing... the worst enemies when you're at home trying to get some "real"work done.
Then Stuart starts preparing the famous irish dish and that was the end of productivity. Because with all that fine food we had to split a beer and you know what that means... but it didn't even get that far... next thing was my swiss friend Armin calling from around the corner to see if I'm home and wanna go for lunch... well, hell yes, for sure, I haven't eatin' since minutes and so he comes by for a visit.
I haven't seen Armin for a while now, since he doesn't work for Conrad Imports, still a client of mine, any longer it is hard to keep up with him. He now works for a company from the east coast as a outside sales-rep for shade-parts, or is it a shady rep for an outside business??? I showed him my progress on the house and then we went to the Public Market in Emeryville for lunch... with all that good food they have to offer there we ended up ordering Philly Cheese Steaks, his with steak mine with chicken and fries. Sitting outside, in the sun with all this food and great conversation, nothing mattered any longer and that is a fine thing.
Lunch with Armin at the Pubic Market in Emeryville...

Lunch is now officially over and so we head over to Peet's to get a cup of java... but who is sitting right in front of that place... no, not another friend from the past. Didn't I just ran into her some months ago??? Yes it was Teresa, a Cech friend of Vladimir and the whole worthless gang of party-animals from 1986. I really haven't seen her for years, I mean about 12 to 15 years and then I ran into her at Costco in December or so, and nowhere she is again. Armin and I joined her and the fun kept on going... and so does that 3 o'clock...
Coffee-time with Armin and Teresa... Peet's in Emeryville...
