Last nights dinner was a delicious curry with rice, just like at a Ashram in India, our chef explains. We had to meditate, as part of the recipe called for, before we sat down and chowed, I was hungry like a bear out of hibernation...
Now breakfast, pancakes getting ready on the griddle, the second batch of a scrambled eggs is just about ready to be served and everybody was up and about. X, who is a organic farmer in Wisconsin, brought a lot of fresh stuff for us to eat, one of them is a 30 pound turkey he raised. Now laying on the prep-table ready to go into the oven for our dinner tonight. Ohh boy I love a good roasted turkey!!!
Another round of skiing, this time to the Druid Pines. The skiing through these forests is really cool, the thrill of the skiing is less. I felt like running most of the time, on the flats and uphill, the steeper up-hills was more like a struggle if gravity and then the disappointing down-hills had little to do with your regular downhill-ski experience. I felt kind of like never getting into a groove where you could strife through a flat landscape and concentrate on the breathing with the motion of the legs. The few lakes we crossed could have done that, but the freezing winds and snow too cold for wax-less skies made it hard. Still grateful to be here and getting a great exercise and build-up a appetite for tonight's feast.
The weather is beautiful, a blue ski just the way it should be for some great pictures, it also warmed up quite a bit since this morning, it is now +1°F, having my coffee, a bit frustrated because I only could find Fat-free Half&Half??? What is one supposed to make out of that...
