Touring Zurich...

Turns out to be a beautiful day here at Wolf Point, Montana!!!

After looking myself back into the Motel-room of the Homestead Inn here in Wolf Point, MT I went back to get some more work done on this blog, trying to catch-up with myself here. I is kind of interesting to relive my trip step by step, looking at the many pictures I took, decide which one is to be on this blog, looking at the map and retracing the roads I've driven and then trying to read my notes to see what was tickling me when I passed it, then finally looking things up on-line to create links for more information. Well, by looking up some of those things I realize what I missed while I was there, and now have to read about it so next time I can go and look into these things more.
Time flies by, I eat some for dinner, I picked-up a chef salad thing at the gas-station and a few pieces of fried chicken pieces, not good but somehow it's food.

Went for another short walk to the gas-station to get some grubb...
And you can see how it looks without the storm-clouds in the air!!!

Even doing nothing more than sitting in front of the computer by the time it's midnight I'm completely fried myself... I produced 5 days on the blog, still not quite caught-up with it but feeling a lot better. I'm looking forward to get to meet Glacier National Park by maybe tomorrow night, but now I have to go and listen to my pillow...

Monday, June 21st Not just another Monday...

Of corse in the morning I continue to hack around the computer, just finish this and send out this e-mail and check this on the web... it's a terrible addiction this computer thing, sometimes I wish to be free of it, but then when I see the work I did on this blog here I'm glad that I do it, still it's time to pack-up my shit and get back onto the road, the mountains are calling me!!!
After get the car loaded, checked out the motel, the cooler filled with ice, my cup filled with hot water, I'm ready to continue the journey further West on US-2. The weather is mixed, tons of big clouds spread all over this big sky, it's a beautiful sight!!!

First there are just bunches of harmless clouds hanging around in the sky...

Looking out form the side, the landscape flies by with 65 miles per hour and things look different, like there are no two Frazer alike, thinking of Karen Frazer back in Metairie...

Ahh did you see that tree??? Just back there a few miles ago!!!

Then these harmless clouds form a meaner union of bigger and fatter clouds...

Towns ever now and then pass by, Oswego, Frazer, Nashua, then Glasgow, from now on I be driving through Buffalo Country a plaque tells me along the road, the Honda passes the 291'000 mile mark and right there is a cool looking Ranch-sign, "The Taylor Ranch"!!!

Strong winds and various weather conditions bring me to the Taylor Ranch...

My cousin's son Taylor, back in Huntland, Tennessee will be happy to know that he has a Ranch in Montana!!!

The next stop is another small town USA, Saco, just to show you what it could be like if you'd live in a town like that...

Do you think this Cafe is only for obese people???

I completely missed the Sleeping Buffalo Hot Spring place, what the hell is going on, a soak is exactly what I need right now!!! Ohh well it's not one of those wild springs I prefer anyway, so not too much of a loss!!!

More weather and traffic up-date, live from the road...

Another message sponsored by the town of Malta...

Grain-elevators and gas-stations are the main-attractions here!!!

Endless stretches with not much to see but the horizon where ever I look, after the town of Malta, there is Wagner, Dodson, Coburg, Savoy and Harlem, the gateway to Fort Belknap where the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation is.

But then middle in nowhere is this coolest looking place...

Kind of like, Mission Impossible!!!

Then out of nowhere are these bicyclists, some are touring, some are training...

"Safe the environment, ride a bicyclist" would be my sticker... dang these Indians, always taking our parking away!!!

But 350 miles after the Italians settled in Palermo, North Dakota, the Swiss had to settled in Zurich, Montana. Back in good old Europe that distance is almost 900 miles!!! How do these Americans do that???

And that's not it... Even the Swiss had to have a word here...

Trains they have, but no station!!! Banks they have too, but also gone with the wind!!! Schools are the most newest thing here!!! And the Lake with the Bahnhofstrasse is there too!!!

I can tell with my professional swiss vision, that a few folks here have not lost their connection to the "real" Zürich!!!
Stacking wood like the "real" swiss do and keeping a neat garden is also very swiss!!!

There is a Post-office and a ghetto, or is it simply affordable housing???

But so it goes... Zurich is doing just fine, and once more it is 3 o'clock Swiss Mountain Time...

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
