Laughing with Cary...

Me, Sharon, and Pierre, making sure that all is fine!!!

Turkish coffee with Pierre Bovin, a tradition that we started many years ago, it is always interesting to see who is joining in. Today it is Sharon, and as always some kind of liquor. The porch of the cabin where Pierre is housed is ideal for this ceremony. A great view of the lake and the dock to see who is in and who is out.
That goes on until the dinner bell sounds. After dinner we have 2 "new" poets introduced with each a reading. Jay Leeming follows with more of his work, I like him a lot. His poetry is understandable to me, must be because we have the same body build and speak german, he makes me laugh more than once when he starts singing german beer-songs. I could not find any of the poems he was reading to us tonight but the ones on his website are worth reading, go for it, now available in MP3. A short interlude by our wonderful drum-artist John DeKadt before we laugh our heads of by Cary Odes, he is teaching comedy in Los Angeles, and gets around the country performing. He doesn't have a website, no clips on youtube nothing silch nada... what is one gonna do with such a funny guy...
When the Franzichs Brothers doing their time on the stage I decide to join Pierre at the campfire down by the lake.

Pierre is our fire-starter in more than one way, but for me mostly known for the campfire right by the lake, a beautiful setting...
A almost full moon, calls of the Loons, boB, Pierre, Trey and me are the toons!!!

To make this even better, Ethan Kirmeyer joins us and shows us how it's done in the "real" woods of wild Maine...

Last but not least, Jennifer joins in with her great laugh...

This sort of ending a day takes care of great dreams... but as usual I can't remember diddly. By the time my alarm goes off at 6:20, and I go to join the sing-circle, all of the dreams are gone.

The singing creates a different high...

Dough von Koss is leading us into different cultures around the world with his songs!!!

Menu and Schedules... all not just an illusion... but just a good idea what might happen next...

After breakfast its time to get serious again, back into the underworld of Caroline Casey, Neil Douglas-Klotz, a short break before Tony Hoagland hit us with juicy poems of the moistness between certain legs and then sending us free to have some lunch.

boB and I are having fun with Caroline Casey...
We're growling at her to rouse he inner coyote!!!

Then it's time for my small group meeting, consisting of notebook, computer, and me. Trying to recreate the life on this different level. At 2:30 the workshops start and next thing is that I have to join in at Cary Odes's workshop on comedy!!!

It's 3 o'clock and I'm having fun participating in Cary Odes's workshop on comedy...

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
