After they are gone I was gone too, into the land of more dreams. I had a plan with Karen Rambin, Sarah Hazelip and Lee St. Germain to have dinner. We all met at the famous place in downtown Lafayette, Don's, an institution with a huge parking area and seating for who knows how many. We got there pretty late, more folks were leaving than coming in and during the corse of eating the place got pretty empty. I ordered the seafood-platter, ready for a dose of fried fish of any kind, with french fries and please hold the fresh vegetables, I take the caned ones instead.
What a feast, and what fun company...

This morning I'm dragging, overwhelmed with too many things I have to do, but all I wane do is sleep some more, or at least lay flat. But no, I feel I'm behind with this blog here, so I'm editing pictures and write, somehow there is a WiFi signal in the air, but it is slower than molasses when it comes to do anything on-line, so not too much I can do. I'm making something to eat from what I have left in my food-box, muessly one more time, with tea and music from iTumes. But not for long, I have to meet Lee and Sarah again for lunch this time. They are picking-up Dave from DC and my shadow from Massachusetts and after that we all have lunch at the Blue Dog Cafe just around the corner from this house.
Lunch at the famous Blue Dog Restaurant...

Now it's the start of Cycle Zydeco for me, time to get all my stuff in order before heading to the Hotel. Things like changing the tires from dirt to slick for a smoother ride, packing the gear for camping into the duffle-bag, get all bike-cloth and after bike cloths ready, camera and a spare battery, and just more stuff. Now that I got done with this I can write some more, the clock strikes three soon and then I have to clear out the place, hop in the car and head over to the Crowne Plaza Hotel and then its "Àllons manger...Àllons dancer...Àllons à Cycle Zydeco!" After all we're in the french district of the United States...
Typing my last words into the computer before I shut-it down...
