Writing at Karen's...

Ahh it is good to be back at Karen's house here in Old Metairie, right near New Orleans. Karen got home yesterday right after the ride, did already all her laundry and chores to welcome us. Already got a days worth of work in at the court-house where she is a court-reporter at the Jefferson Parish Court in Gretna.
Harry is kicking back and I try to reorganize my car, start to do some laundry and set-up the tent in Karen's backyard to finally get it dry again. I go for a shopping run to Rouses, get beers, vine snacks, chocolate, heavy whip cream, some shortcakes for the fresh strawberries, and some for breakfast. Next is making plans for dinner, who is coming and what should we do, eat here or go out??? We decide to stay here, order pizza and watch a movie Karen found at the public library. Sharon and Lindy will join us, no word from Lee and Larry so we don't need to order another pizza. Joann and Al are too tired and so it's us five, with pizza from Restaurant Roma, just around the corner from Karen's. The movie is "From La La to Zydeco" and only us could be that amused by it. A lot of familiar faces of the Zydeco Music scene and Lindy knows a lot about them too, even me got to recognize a few, we're having a great time.

Dinner and dessert... all is well!!!


Now it's time to get serious for the next couple of days... catch-up with this old blog here...

In the morning I start with my cup of tea, then sort photos, editing them, upload and sort again on line, label and words. Writing about all the things that happen on the bike-ride that now seems a long time ago. I find some snacks to munch on and eat the rest of Headcheese with bread and mustard...

Karen gets home form work and soon it's 3 o'clock again...
