Friends from way when back...

Back at Rich's office, he is giving me a check so I have some gas-money for my long journey to Maine and back.
It's night by the time I leave Rich's office on 2nd Street...

By the time I get home I feel like ready to go to bed, but first it time for a shower and then go through the fridgerator to see if there is some eatble in there. I find a container with spagetti and some more sauce to put on and I'm in business, Stuart joined me but only has some veggies and humus, healthy him. Before I hit the hay I edit some more pictures and upload them onto my Picasa albums, a really time-consuming process, but well worth it when I can use these photos on this blog here.
I'm almost the first one up in the morning, still quiet, I start making some Chai Tea, now that Flint is here again, the founder of my Chai Tea addiction, I have to show him that I do it right. Slowly they're all coming out of the wood-works, first Jessica carring Indy, then Flinf is coming down and by the time the tea is finished Stuart shows his face too, fun to have so many people around.
Jessica as a caring mother...

I have all things on my imaginary list and a few items on my written one, so lets get started, my goal today is getting my taxes donne and new tires on the Honda with an alignment, Lets get started. Getting all my paper-work together, but hold it Stuart is frying up some bacon and eggs, after that I drive to the place Buntha recommended for tires and alignment, actually Buntha says to go to Costco for the tires and the alignment with Joe. Joe is on University near M.L.K. here in Berkeley, the guy explains that the computer system is down and so he can't give me a price on the tires, he'll call me as soon as the system is up and running again, but comfirms that I could bring the car in for an alignment for 89.95. Okay then, next is Costco, long lines here because of the sale they're having and maybe because it is the last day before the sales-tax goes up. I sign-up for 4 new tires, installation and the 70 dollar rebate, the last ones I got was right before I headed to see Karen in Walker Louisiana, after Katrina made her evacuate her house in Metairie, for the price of 257.96. That was in September of 2005, since then I drove to Louisiana and back, 3 times around the country, and many thousand miles from here to there, a total of almost 58'000 Miles, amazing isn't it.
Now here I am, stranded in the world of Costco, the car will be ready in about 3 and a half to 4 hours. What now, I call Stuart to see if he could pick me up, he is such a sport, be here in a half hour, he says. Now it's time to go get the stuff I need from Costco, like vitamin C, shaving-blades, and might as well buy some IbProvin and Aspirin, a loaf of bread for tonights feast, another 100 bucks gonne...
Back at home it is time to ger real serious about the taxes, but first I need to snack on some, what, maybe a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich, hmm that sounds about right.
3 o'clock hits and I'm buried in papers and numbers...
