Soaking-up the Warmth...

The doorbell rings and who is it??? Well, it's Flint, his wife Jessica and junior Indi, freshly arrived from India, well maybe not that fresh, more likely dead-tired from 36 hours of traveling from Meherbad in India to Berkeley. I rented the house the first time to them in 2005 when I went to Burning Men and then to see Karen in Louisiana after Katrina ripped through New Orleans.
Flint works for Jan Gunn, doing all kinds of construction projects for her. Jessica does kind of like organizational work for Jan's clients, a perfect way to spend 3 month in the Bay Area make some money and then back to India. Then they came again in 2006, stayed for 3 month, the last time they were here was in 2007, Jessica was pregnant with Indi and by the time they went back to India, in November, she was so big you'd thought she might have the baby any minute but it was not due until February. Indi was born on February 4th, now he is already 14 month old... a different time for all of us. It's gonna be interesting!!!
First they all went for a bit to eat and after that we hang out for some time to talk about India and more. Glad they are back, I like 'em a lot.

A new shoe-size gets introduced to my house...

In the morning a had a little project I needed to do for Dr. DiRocco, he needed the water-samples from the P-traps of the dental stations to mail to EBMUD (East Bay Municipal Utility District, the water and water-treatment company) for mercury testing. It took me no time to crawl into the crawl-space and get the dirty job done.
Then I had a bunch of errands to run, bank, post-office, phone-calls, and and and... by the time I got back home the gang from India was finally up too. FLint went on a 2 hour walk with Indi in the wee-hours. Anyway, I made a big fat omelet again and had enough and more to feed all of us...
By the time three o'clock came around we're hanging out at the back steps and soaking up the warm sun...

The whole gang, lazying around...

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
