Gardening in the Big...

After some time at the table with, Daniel, Kirk, PeiPei, Chris and Mark, having oysters by the dozens, plenty of wine and beer, bread and cheese with olives, laughter and giggles it was time to leave this beautiful place. The weather, just too good, the view to Tamales Bay unbelievable but still hours to go until sunset and so we broke-down our stand and squeezed back into Chris's truck, and put up with his driving, a bit too much of exhilaration and then hitting the breaks to my taste, but hey at least we all fit into one car.

Squeezing into the truck...

Stopping for coffee at the local, now don't you tell anybody, Starbucks in Novato. That coffee did hit the spot, I'm still trying out my new commuter-mug, because my other one I forgot at Kent and Jessica in Santa Cruz, I like this one better because it does close shut and is leak-proof, just what I need.
We had to be back in Berkeley before the bakery closes.

Hanging out at Crixa Cakes, meeting a lady in a wheelchair to talk to...

After a short restoration at home I meet the gang once more at the Cheese Board, the third time this week, we had pizza and water...

A group shot before the farewell...

It was a long and eventful day, it's time to get back to read about the life of a crazy chef and his wild adventures before my eyes rolled inside...
In the morning back to meeting the gang, this time without Mark, at the Thai Temple for breakfast, we got together just after 9:30 and so not many people yet, every one of us stood in a different food-line and PeiPei secured the table for us, what a team, by the time the lines opened-up and food starts to get served we were eating most delicious food in no time.
Cafe Strada to mellow out, or caffeined-up for the rest of the day.

Thai Temple to indulge in delicious food...

Then Cafe Strada, an old stumping-ground of mine...

Drive over to Marin to visit Susan, she made chocolates all morning long and is ready to hang out with me, go for a hike, dinner, and more.
But first we drive to Mill Valley to see her garden where she grows salads and vegetables for a restaurant, have to ask her for the name of the place again. We hang a couple of strings with Tibeten prayer-flags over the beds and in the greenhouse.
Three o'clock happens while Susan inspects plant-growth and I take pictures...

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
