Fist day of 2009...

To finish 2008 I decided in the last minute to spend New Years eve with Jessica & Kent in Santa Cruz. A fun evening with good food and games. So in the morning I made plans with Karen & Sharon to meet them at my house at 4 so we can go to Doris & Steve's house to watch the sunset from their house with a glass of champagne in hand. Unfortunately that cut my time short with J & K and I had to hit the road at 2:30 to be home by 4 if there is no traffic.

Busy Lines... and not much traffic driving north...

Now at 3 I'm close to San Jose on Hwy 17 and might get home just in time to prepare some goodies to bring along to the next adventure. I have a bottle of champagne and another Christ-stollen to bring.
Thinking about some resolutions for this year... like writing every day this blog, as exercise  and as a discipline to help me accomplish things better that in 2008. On my mind are:
  1. My house, completing the work downstairs so I can move on!!!
  2. Jobs and money, making enough money to support my lifestyle one more year and maybe have some money to take back to Europe in a year!!!
  3. Relationships... now that is a chapter by itself!!!
  4. This years trips, I think I don't lack on places to go... but I have to earn my trips by accomplishing things on  my house before galavanting around the country!!!
  5. Get more serious about studying chinese... now that's a challenge!!!
Back to my driving back to Berkeley, there was some interesting views of sheets of fog that mingle in the redwoods while driving over the Santa Cruz Mountains. When I left Kent and Jessica the weather was blue sky and mild temperatures... then the other side of the mountains was fogged in and almost cleared up here in San Jose. I hope for a clear evening so we can enjoy a great sunset from Doris & Steve's house!!!

First no talking... now no texting... what good are cell-phones now???

And what about Me???

My photo
Berkeley, California, United States
My life as a vagabond in the last few years got me to some amazing places, met great people and have lots of stories to share. I love exploring, travel, biking, dancing to Zydeco music, hanging out with friends, biking and many other things to keep me in trouble... best is when I can combine a few of these things together!!! Then there is the photography, writing and might as well do some cooking too, after all eating is another of my favorite thing!!!
